The Highland Condominiums

The Highland Condominiums is a new urban-style condominium by Mutual Developments, situated in the West Hill Community. Set to be completed by 2021, the condominium will be a mid-rise building including 11 storeys, 94 dwelling units and one, two and three-bedroom suite designed rooms embracing beautiful lake views.

The Design

The Highland Condominiums is partnering with Kohn Partnerships Architects Inc. to plan a modern structure that will enrich the streetscape of the neighbourhood. Terracing will be included in the condominium, from floors 1 through 6 and floor level 10 to ensure sunlight and provide a transition to the low-rise homes on the south side. Two levels of underground parking will be available with 102 vehicle spaces and 74 bicycle spaces.

The Neighbourhood

The site is part of the “Kingston Road Avenue Study,” a policy designed with the purpose of revitalization of properties along the stretch from the Guildwood Go Station to the Highland Creek Bridge. The policy implements improvements to the neighborhood through widening sidewalks, planting trees and shrubs and encouraging high-quality, mixed-use developments.
