The Victoria Village neighbourhood in Scarborough welcomes a new mixed-use development on the corner of Eglinton Avenue East and Victoria Park Avenue. This condominium, currently in pre-construction, will be 18.56 acres in total, backing on to a small park just southeast of the Eglinton and Victoria Park intersection. It will join a collection of shopping centres across the GTA and add life to the community.
This development will consist of 5 mixed-use towers, ranging from 25 to 40 storeys tall, paired with 112 4 storey stacked town homes. The whole development will contain 852 one-bedroom units, 629 two-bedroom units and 159 three-bedroom units, with 1317 parking spaces reserved for residents. There will also be space for residential, retail and office use.
1 Eglinton Square Condos is situated in the area of Eglinton Avenue where the city has several plans for substantial growth. Within the next 30 – 50 years, the area is expected to have 12,000 new residential units and plenty more opportunities for employment. A new transit system called Eglinton Crosstown LRT, used to connect Scarborough to other parts of the city, will be available for use within the next few years. It’s also a short distance to the Eglinton Subway station, a short drive to the DVP and a 15-minute drive to Downtown Toronto. This condominium is connected to the Eglinton Square Shopping Centre, where local amenities, shopping, dining and other entertainment will be available only a few steps away. Residents can also enjoy a variety of nearby parks and parkettes including the Victoria Eglinton Parkette and Wexford Park.
